I was a worried that reading a travel/ history book written in the 90s would be a bit out of date. But it’s just serving to highlight that the current environmental and political shit show doesn’t come from nowhere. Obvi, I guess. It’s just kind of chilling reading about the seeds of current crises, and predictions about the state of the world that were pretty accurate.
