LOL this author just called everything after MCR garbage and terrible. Are you sure your part of the scene, Tedder? This author is just gatekeeping moron. The antithesis to the scene.

So bands like MCR and Cobra Starship can be theatrical and have garish lyrics are are Scene gods, but bands like BVB and Attack Attack! come on the scene and are "ridiculous" and "disingenuous" for being theatrical and garish?

WOW. Calling everything after Fall Out Boy and My Chem "dumbed down copies" and insulting a new wave of alt music (ETF, BMTH, ADTR, Early November) on band name alone is a WILD take. Get this emo purist bullshit out of here. Imagine writing a book about the scene only to alienate entire generations. Disgustingly hypocritical.

Unfortunately this book was probably too far in the process when "Where Are Your Boys Tonight?" was published to alter it's direction, but I found this really redundant. I was hoping for a book that focused on the later waves of emo and the development of Warped Tour-era screamo that took off on MySpace... the Sleeping with Sirens, PTV, OM&M, etc era.
