Me, too. I remember talking to someone about books and mentioning Miss Read. They said, "Oh, those are the books where nothing happens." I laughed. Yes, that's kind of true, but nothing happens in a really charming and interesting way, I think!

I first discovered her books when I was a teen and got No Holly for Miss Quinn as a Christmas present. That would have been in the early 70s! I've been enjoying her ever since.

Glad to see you reading this. I love Miss Read. Can't always decide between Fairacre and Thrush Green, though :)

I love Fairacre most, probably because I was an Elementary school teacher and I love reading about the children and the school. But Thrush Green has some wonderful people in it, and I love those books, too.

I love Miss Read so much! I read every book that I could find by her! I should probably start a re-read :)
