Kay. Odd tense is worth it. Ugh.

Poor Sandy has never quite bonded with the rest of them and remains an afterthought.

I forgot who he was and had to go back to book one to refresh my memory, so you can say that again.

I'm bummed. The third person present tense is throwing me off the connection I need. I know these two from the first two books but this is reading so stoic, yes I know this is how Marc is... But it's not what I expected. I hope... I hope. Sigh. I want feelings, not a how to manual.
