Granted, it took me a bit and I have the dictionary open on my phone to check out words if I don't understand at all or feel like I should know, and it's middle grade, but I'm really amazed how well I got through that first chapter. Apart from the odd Duolingo lessons here and there over the last few years, it's been 16 years since I studied French in school. Back to fluency by the end of that 900p whopper ;D ?!
