Her journal is ok. It’s just slow.

It’s not great. It’s a super slow read. At first it was interesting to see all the old references to things found in Canadas history which Maud experiences. But you know what else is part of Canada’s history, racism. Maud doesn’t hold back when saying some really awful things about the indigenous or mixed race people around her at the time. Yuck.
