Slow and deliberate. I find St. John of the Cross often difficult to read. Yet here St. Teresa Benedicta of the Cross brings St.John’s meaning to vibrant life. There is simply no rushing through this descriptive book.

I love this book, but can only read it in small bites. Saint John of the Cross is not the easiest author for me to digest. St. Edith Stein makes it possible.

Concur on both points that he is not the easiest author to read and grasp/digest and that she is particularly helpful in making it possible!
