The book from the beginning was really hooked me as a reader. But throughout the book the mans freedom emasculated and became less readable. The sense of romance between the two youngsters became poignant as they’re kept in a private loop of their relationship, as in those times they didn’t allow corresponding racial relationships and it mare some sort of indignation in me, as a reader.
