"Patience and patience, we shall win at the last. We must be very suspicious of the deceptions of the element of time. wow, these essays are so dense and insightful i feel like i could spend years dissecting each one word by word. this is literature to read with reverence. savor each sentence and reread until you fully understand (or begin to). the hard part is then applying the principles of virtue Emerson talks about to your own life. i keep asking myself, how can I uphold these virtues? what does that look and feel like for me?
