The Lightning Theif has a conflict of character vs. character. This is because even though I am not far enough into the book to have experienced the conflict yet, but I read the back cover of the book and have seen that the conflict is that Percy was framed for stealing Zeus' lightning bolt. He has to now find the person who did steal it. The character vs character is Percy vs the lighting theif who framed him.

The lightning Thief is a quest story. There iis evidence in the story that supports this idea. The main character, Percy Jackson is set on a quest by the gods to find Zeus's stolen lightning bolt. He has ten days to travel across the United States to track it down. He eventually finds it, and brings it back to Olympus. This may also be a voyage and return story because he returns to New York to give the bolt back.
