I continue to be completely absorbed in this book. I rarely read anything that captures the beauty and drama of the small and ordinary so *truly* and I've never seen it juxtaposed against a story about the nature of knowledge. Wow! And I have never read such terrifying werewolves. This story IS magic.

I wonder if Pamela Dean was thinking of hedgehogs knowing only one thing, but knowing it completely.
