Gates is trying to justify his greenhouse emissions by saying that all the electricity he uses and the fuel for his private jet is environmentally friendly without regard to the influence he has on people. If he instead sets an example that rich people don’t have to fly private and constantly consume or own big houses we would save a lot of greenhouse emissions overall.
