Levi Jones You would...

Jonathan Platter What's that supposed to mean??

Levi Jones :) You're reading Balthasar again... wish I could read him with ya.

Jonathan Platter I won't stop you!

Levi Jones Wish I had the time. I have over 20 books I have to read before classes start in June.

Jonathan Platter Whoa! I've noticed that you're reading some homiletics stuff and wondered if it was for the program.

How's that going so far?

message 7: by Levi (new)

Levi Jones Well, managed to complete six books thus far. It's been interesting and I feel like I am learning. So, it's going fairly well, I think. I'm waiting to hear which elective class I get to take, which will increase my workload. So, I'm trying to get as much cranked out as quickly as I can. Thankfully, the reading hasn't been too heavy content-wise yet... except for Ricoeur's book on hermeneutics. But, I think there will be a couple that are a little more rigorous... I just haven't touched them yet. :)

Jonathan Platter How did you like Riceour? Also, your gonna surpass your 2016 reading goal soon!

Levi Jones Ricoeur was a little over my head, to be honest. What I understood (I think) was really interesting. I think you would really like the book, to be honest. Deals a lot with epistemology and ontology. I think he offers some worthwhile critiques of historical-critical modes of interpretation.

Levi Jones And, I may have undershot the goals for reading this year... which is good. That will stretch me... I may have to revise to 40-45 books.

Jonathan Platter Very nice! Well, I hope the reading is helpful!

Levi Jones Definitely! :)
