I feel the ending came off perfect, it left on a great note to want me to keep reading to the next book.

Hes getting showed around at the camp, and he's meeting everyone. While he's there he is very interested in the maze. Another person comes up from the black box and its a girl with a note saying shes the last one.

He wakes up in the box and everyone is standing over him. they life him out and find his name is Thomas. They figure out he is the last one of the people that will be coming to the maze.
