I love the development, but some of the rising action is dull. Everything just seems to work perfectly for the kids all the time!

Also, whyyyyy are the Jia-Matt moments so forced? It’s the thoughts, not even the actual banter that makes me cringe.

I’m loving the character development! Especially Ruby’s.

I like the plot a lot so far, and the exposition chapter definitely helped.

The banter feels a bit forced, though. Especially the Matt/Jia banter.

I also wish we had some more development for Ruby! Like, Corey is awesome, we know quite a bit about Matt, but I want more Ruby development! What are her goals/dreams? Aside from being the quieter twin, what’s her personality? Etc.

Now we’re getting somewhere!!!

I definitely wish there was more exposition though, I hot lost a few times with who characters were and what their motives were.

A good set up for the rest of the book (helps when you read the cover flap ;)

A tad slow, but a pretty good intro.
