Okay... I don't like Cletus when he says sth along the line "Now was not a convenient time to have met my life partner." when bro just LITERALLY met the lady 3 minutes ago... Like sir, what about her opinion? Self center and presumptuous much? I'm dying waiting for the leads to cross paths and give me reasons about why I should care about them.

One thing about Penny Reid is that she has so so many brilliant ideas in her book. And she gives souls to her characters. For instance for Jenn, baking is like playing with chemistry, and this idk... Nostrum(?) of Cletus is just simply brilliant: "I allot ten minutes. If I didn’t have ten minutes, I’d put off forming an impression until such a window of time was available."
