I haaaated til death to us bard, it kinda turned me off cozy fantasy as a whole ugh

I love cozy fantasy! Til death do us bard isn't feeling cozy to me. It's such a slog and I want to dnf it but I paid for it. I'm hoping this title will get me back into reading.
