Endless, He Said by Anton Cancre is a post-zombie apocalypse story that really pulled on my heartstrings. Fantastic writing and a wonderful story framing device.

Take me to Church by Dan B Fierce is a great coming of age religious horror short.

Insurrection by Ruth Anna Evans is one of the heavier stories I’ve read in a long time. What happens to America when the insurrection is actually a success? Horror.

Ténèbres Mon Amour by Pippa Bailey is a very short but no less horror-filled love letter to Darkness.

The Sin-Eaters by Michael R Collins is a tension-filled short with a wonderful twist ending.

The Denouement of Freeze-Dried Coffee by Sumiko Saulson is horror in a post apocalyptic, acid rain covered world. A world in which despite rising sea levels and giant monsters coming out of the water, trans people are still beaten and killed just for existing. They are even blamed for the asteroid Apophis that brought doomsday upon earth.

She Was The First; A Dani Story by Angelique Jordonna is a short about Dani’s first kill, as told by Dani to her girlfriend(?) Lyric.

She Tasted of Good Fortune by Hailey Piper is in part the reason I bought this book. After reading Hailey’s novel “No Gods for Drowning” I was wishing there were more stories in the world she created for that novel. And it turns out that the short in this anthology fits the bill.
Body horror, urban fantasy, love, and a revenge story all rolled up into one.

Chaser by Judith Sonnet - an internet celebrity has to deal with a creep and a… demon? The tamest I’ve read from Judith Sonnet as far as violence, gore, and language goes, but also one of the heaviest as far as subject matter and themes go.
