Why is she so obsessed with her daughter saying “mommy” instead of mom. I wonder if other mother’s feel that way. I mean everyone has to grow up eventually, no point in stalling or stunting the process. Olivia used the word “daddy” though, without being asked. That’s interesting. What caused the difference? Daddy’s girl maybe?

“My hand sketches hieroglyphs on the glass. I clear my eyes and read them. Over and over, across the door, I've written Jane Russell's name.” That such a crazy way to end a chapter/paragraph. It’s so foreboding and suspenseful. Leaves you wondering why and what’s gonna happen next.

Honestly for a therapist she’s kind of stupid and lacks social cues. You should know when dealing with an abusive man, you don’t say anything to them. Never give any information because there’s always an ulterior motive behind it. She should’ve never opened her door and let that man in. I think she’s a part of the reason why he attacked the woman
