I’ve been thinking a lot lately about Christian sensualism—culture where feelings unhealthily equate to God’s presence and favor. On pages 44-45 I read a great summary of this problem. An excerpt:

“…feelings make great companions but terrible masters, and to use them as the watermark of the Spirit’s activity in our lives runs the risk of our enthroning our emotions and becoming enslaved to them.”

Very excited about this one. God has used Strachan Coleman’s podcast (“Commoner’s Communion”) to affect me deeply.
