Colonel Tom Parker took the brazen promotion of the circus to pop music - helping to create the greatest artist of the 20th Century.

The book is great - the carny / quick buck midset, Elvis paying full regular taxes throughout his career - take that, Bono! - the Colonel's refusal to travel because he was an illegal immigrant. Recommended to anyone interested in showbusiness, or in Elvis.
