Sensationally good, Tolkien paints a rich picture of a world that feels so real lived in and characters that complement each other and the themes of the book so well. Lots of the book focuses on Frodo, Sam and Gollum’s journey and while this can be repetitive at times it does well to really establish Sam and Frodos friendship as crucial to the story.
