Already started on this one and might have to go back to it, even if it's jumping over a few books in the series. I seem to have already made sure to read the earlier book with the most 'significant' development/shock for our main protagonist, so nothing lost I don't think.

Another real interesting book - I know, I keep saying that after I've finished each one!
This one had a new aspect in the use of DNA / ancestry databases to help solve crimes, something happening quite a bit these days I believe, which added a topical element to the story.
There was also a personal tragedy with another main character (with cliffhanger), which was nice to move beyond the eponymous Ridpath's character.

Skipped over in to this book (no. 9) in the series. It is a bit different as the main case seemingly is being shared with a more personal storyline (are they actually linked somehow?), which is quite interesting and I like.
Really charging through it but coming close to the last of the books available, sadly...
