The author only mentioned 2 qualities (Din & Character) to be sought in husband as opposed to 9 in women (Righteousness, character, virginity, Fertility, Loving Attitude, Contentment, Innocence, Beauty, Compatibility).

But I believe there's more to be said than only just "Din and Character", especially when nowadays religiosity is measured only through the ritualistic aspect of the religion. Here's my addition:

Abdullah Mushtaq Although "character" is a wholistic term that may include all the stuff that I will be mentioning below, but still people understand it differently and it must be elaborated. Here are some of the qualities that one may look or avoid in a husband:

1) Red-pill and other ideologies: One must avoid the feminist-equivalent of a man, who is brainwashed by such western ideologies. Such a man has a perverted view of women in general, which is reflected in his daily life.

2) Lack of Empathy and Harshness: A man with no empathy, who doesn't understand the distinctive nature of women (the bend-rib analogy) will be unbearable to live with. Such a man will only look at his woman as a maid and not as a life-companion.

3) Beauty: Obviously, this should come at less priority but still looks are as important for women as they are for men. I don't understand why some people think that woman doesn't value physical beauty in marriage, especially when it involves physical intimacy.

4) Dependency: A man who is not independent in his life will never be able to lead his wife and be a Qawwam for his family. His life choices are influenced by his family members and he has no assertiveness. Such a man will only bring misery to his own wife.

5) Religious Manipulation: A man who twist religious injunctions to satisfy his own cunning desires is a complete NO NO! These type of people lack proper understanding of religion and their focus is merely on the few outward expressions of Islam.

These are just a few that comes to my mind just now. Which one did I miss? Let me know.
