[SPOILER ALERT] So Jack disappears on his and Grace's wedding night, shows up late to pick her up and THEN tells her she 'has no right' to question him regarding any of it. And she STILL goes to Thailand with him, only blaming herself for Jacks behaviour as she 'behaved like a fishwife' and was 'borderline hysterical.' Does Grace have no backbone or self preservation?!

So Grace is beginning to annoy me.. She seems overly simplistic as a character, being too easily manipulated by Jack- to the point where she sounds like a child rather than an adult. I also feel Millie's character is more insulting to those with Down syndrome than intriguing. She has learning difficulties, she's not an idiot.

This book is certainly intriguing. My only qualm so far being Grace's enthusiasm for marrying a man she's only known for three months. A man who agrees to buy her the house of her dreams and allow her disabled sister live with them. Maybe I'm just a septic by nature, but I'd expect more maturity and reluctance for a woman in her thirties; Grace sounds like a love struck teenager.
