I may have to abandon this book. The mediocre is unfortunate enough, but paired with the author's (or ghostwriter's?) tendency to whitewash everything and paint her family as ever well-meaning, even her CSA as ultimately character-building, the memoir is the worst kind of Pollyanna story.
