This would all be over now if this girl communicated what was happening. She holds no power here.
Also, I’m sure whoever proofread this book, skipped like 4 pages. The scene ended with him being alone in the room and then all of a sudden we are reading the previous scene AGAIN but worded differently, almost like she was editing it and then did it again on the next page.
