Very poor novel, written badly and plotted worse. Characters are uninteresting clichés, no complexity whatsoever. I hoped the Scottish highlands where it is set could at least give me some joy, but I was wrong. This story could take place absolutely anywhere, the geographical space is just an excuse to throw in some commonplaces about the weather. Terrible.
