I really regret marking this as “currently reading”. Goodreads really needs a dedicated “re-reading” section. I wonder what this will say when I finish listening to it. Will it still show the first time I read it in 2020? Or will that be gone and replaced by this year long reread? Sometimes I really hate this app and wish it was more like Letterboxd.

Been so long since I listened to this. My goodreads has been pathetic lately.

I love these chapters where King jumps around to all of the different people who live in the town so fuckin much. He creates such memorable characters in such a short amount of time. There’s a miserable old milk man who hates his customers almost as much as he hates his dead wife, a teen mom who abuses her baby, a draconian school bus driver, an alcoholic who’s lusting after his widow boss, and so many more.

I watched the shitty new movie last night, and it’s October so I was in a Stephen King mood, but I didn’t want to start a new one of his books, so I saw the Salems Lot audiobook was 15 dollars and decided to reread it. This narrators voice is amazing, and I forgot the prologue was as detailed as it is. This also came with an author’s note that King narrated himself which was cool.
