I wouldn't describe this as any sort of crime 'thriller' - as the publisher's always seem to want to tag it as this - but it's serviceable if a bit slow.
Still, it's not bad as a fill-in read so I'll plug on with it....

This limped to a conclusion, one that seemed rather protracted as it had pretty much been solved by this stage - not helped by the curious decision of the publisher (?) to tack on a 'bonus' final chapter, ie. just expanded, no alternative ending. The point being..?
Anyway, I'm glad I gave this author/series a go - the 'different' main detective was interesting to a point but not enough to read any further I'm afraid.

Not finding this too bad but not exactly rivetting reading either. I'll stick to it as a fill-in read but also I'm in danger of overdosing on British crime fiction?!
