as someone that likes to do a “chapter-a-day” kinda thing, the chapters’ lengths are annoying. i like the detail and foreshadowing tartt has really started to incorporate. i love the book a lot so far.

prologue + chapter 1:
god, wow, tartt is an impressively good writer. k was told i was going to have a difficult time getting into this and that it wouldn’t be really good until past the 100-page mark; but i was truly hooked from the prologue. truthfully, without it, i would probably think the book is boring. but this is so so so so good. i love the allusions and everything about it. can’t wait to read more ^_^
