Girl, I don't trust you and the mere idea of siblings but also congrats; this and the bit with Aline the page before marks a point where she doesn't act like a dbag to any and every girl she meets.

Soooo Clary is not going to crawl up to a dead Jace and lie beside him because giving up would disappoint him? That's why she'll actually do something? Really? No other motivation like, oh I don't know, trying to save her friends, family,....the WORLD? Why are you like this? You've known Valentine was your dad for a few weeks (p. 375), which means you've known Jace about that long. This makes no sense! A FEW WEEKS!!!

Magnus, who appeared to be in a state of shock, stood frozen. Several groups of people -Shadowhunters and Downworlders alike - were staring and whispering."

"There was a lot of blood." "Like a special bonus for you," Jace said to Simon. Seriously there is more to Jace and Simon's relationship in this book than there is for nearly everyone else's. At least the two are amusing. And poor Aline.... I think Clary could have been a bit more caring towards her.

"I want to know why you haven't called me back." Haha Alec. Ok this is clearly the best relationship in the book. It also seems way more morally sound than any relationship to date in any of the last two and a half books. After all, they aren't siblings nor do they THINK they're siblings. I actually feel like these two people are normal, nice boys and I wish them the best.

The fuck did I just read? What the hell is the purpose of this scene with Aline?

Jesus fucking Christ this is gross. Ok I could almost feel for them in the previous book but this is just over the top. I know they aren't related but for god's sake letting this go on for this many pages is just horrifying.

"I'm going to break Simon out of jail." Seriously, scenes related to Simon and Jace are oddly more interesting Han those about Clary. And mostly I just feel pity that Isabelle has to put up with all these assholes.

Clary has really become more of a jackass here.
