Shelling peas in Georgia in August. Hmm. FYI, they're not green peas, they're black-eyed or crowder or Queen Ann or some other kind of Southern pea... The green English peas are done by March or so at that latitude...

Grain sorghum looks like corn until it heads out, not so much like grass. Also, in central Texas, which is the same latitude as central Georgia, sorghum is harvested in late July through August. So people walking through the fields would be walking through the ripe, rust-colored heads. Just sayin'. Don't guess most people would care...
