This book is literary catfishing. The title is meant to provoke intense reactions and let people use it as an example of why trans identities are a cause of concern. However, all I’ve read so far is a story about a self centered man who is still seeking what’s he’s always been seeking-validation. I’ll keep reading it just to inform myself about what sources transphobes are using as support for their bigotry.

I’m not being facetious when I type this, but all of this could have been avoided if the author had gone to therapy. He has no support for a flaky argument (at best.)

The sources he’s citing have literally nothing to do with his argument and you can tell. Especially because he put the date he accessed the articles. This book is like a train wreck-I can’t stop looking at it.

I don’t think this man is making the point he thinks he’s making. From what I’ve read, he’s incredibly insecure about himself and highly hypocritical. He blames social media as a cause of bullying and thus a cause of gender dysphoria. Instead of restricting medical care, how about he takes care of bullying and the harms social media causes? And don’t even get me started on his sources documented thus far.
