The voice for the dragon is hilarious and awkward. I can also tell it’s been awhile since I’ve read this-it has not aged well for me (note: the storyline is entertaining. The writing is not great. Which makes sense since he wrote it when he was 15).

The kiddos aren’t reacting to this one like they did LOTR, which is fine. We’ll finish the series anyway.

The writing is starting to make me a little twitchy and a little stabby. I forgot how...badly constructed it is. Oh well, I want to read book 4, so I have to start somewhere.
