Newish Theory:
- still thinking bartered wife syndrome and she killed Michael (the husband)
- we’re finding out he was (probably) cheating on and hitting her
- she’s repressed those memories (bc she killed him) and is being “haunted” bc of them (ie the hauntings are her kind playing tricks on her bc she isn’t accepting the truth)
