10-23.pg77. This was one of my fav books as a kid,& I’m finally rereading it! The main character is annoying and not very likable. Actually her whole family is that way. The horse isn’t as magical as I remembered. It’s so obvious the horse is a ghost and the MC can’t figure that out for some reason.

Finally done with this book! This did not hold up to my childhood memory at all. The MC was too bratty & annoying, her whole family too annoying, the whole ghost/magic thing wasn’t even good. The ending could have been touching & emotional but the author chose to have her MC be angry & bratty & ruined it. This whole thing could have been better if the characters had been likable & the whole plot handled differently.

10-24. pg102. I wanted to finish this today but that didn’t happen. Boy is this whole thing pretty annoying. Her, her family, the way the history/ghost horse is happening. The magic is just a very convenient plot device.
