No, this was my first time "reading" it, I've seen the television adaptation and knew well the metaphor for Jarndyce v Jarndyce since I was young and loved the story. First time actually receiving it unabridged, long, but excellent. You should listen to Margolyes perform it, she's quite excellent with the voices, can barely tell it's not a full cast adaptation, even the male characters sound pretty authentic. I usually read a Dickens or other Victorian novel at this time of year, albeit a shorter one, had to start well in advance!

Ah, brilliant. I'm glad you've enjoyed it. Funnily enough, it was the Margoyles version I listened to in the summer as I read along with the assigned copy for Uni. She was excellent, fully agreed!
