At one point, the writing got real pedantic. It sounded like tiring born-again preaching at the reader. Then I realized, the author had revealed the same pedantic, controlling manner when he related his story about telling the nun there won’t be any religion in my class. Then his tone changed in the writing, and the book became interesting again for my own interest and my novel research.

Interesting info on angels. I don’t know whether all of it is true or not but much of it I’ve heard from several other sources. It makes for good background research for my novels. I haven’t decided yet whether angels will appear in novel 2 of The Q’Zam’Ta Trilogy. The last chapters held my attention and weren’t a turn off.

Some of this doesn’t quite jibe with Revelation. Some affirms what others who’ve experienced near death have related. One part reflects what Pope John Paul II said about heaven and hell (separated from God). It’s not as compelling listening at this point but good for thinking about whether or not my outlines for novels 2 and 3 fit with people’s experiences.

I liked the experience of listening to an audiobook and being able to follow it (unlike usual experiences after my brain injury) during my walk and I needed to occupy my mind from too much psychic pain and squeeze in novel research. I searched for near death at library and this one came up. Vividly narrated. Well written. So far it’s captivating me. Also confirming some details I wrote in Soul’s Awakening.
