this is such a good read and answered my lingering questions about what's left after a war decades later, but man it's tough. the blurb on the front cover comparing it to hersey's hiroshima is right. however bad you think you know an event was, webster's experiences will make you realize it's such a vast understatement. chapter 2 damn near gave me an existential crisis.
