I'm not sure how I feel about this one. I am now very familiar with this author's style: his trademarks are there but on the whole the book has left me a little unsatisfied.
I think it was left a little too long for the 'final reveal' (it's not much of a shock as it's been alluded to all along) so the sympathy for the main characters is somewhat diluted.
Still, would also like to revisit the film adaption again...

Making my way through this slowly but steadily - bit that's kind of in keeping with the author's style.
I'm just dipping back in to this at regular intervals (between other books) and it's a very typically well-written and interesting read from this author.
On to the final part 3 and I'm still not that sure where it's going to end honestly....

Finished Part 1 of this one but I'm not totally convinced by it I'm afraid. It has all the distinctive hallmarks of this author's work but there is just something about it that doesn't grab me - at this stage anyway (I realise this may also be due to comparisons with the film adaption, even though I don't have clear memories of that really)
Will come back to it - a good thing when it's split into 3 neat parts!
