Mockingbirds nest between 4 and 5 feet off the ground in small trees or shrubs. FYI. They're not going to be nesting high in a tree. We had a mockingbird nest in the honeysuckle vine over our daughter's window, totally visible from her bed, at that 5 foot height... Fun to watch the babies grow! :) Just saying...
