First 33 1/3 book I've read. Seems like editorial standards were sort of low. Unfortunately reading just "Drake" brings to mind the Canadian garbage star I wish I didn't know existed.

I could dismiss Nick Drake because of his wealthy background, but, as an American, to me his parents' estate, his kind of posh but ascetic room with its circular window, his public school education, all represent a kind of romantic ideal of England if I'm being honest. Even if the council house is where I'd be if I was placed there in reality. England's rich had better taste than ours, always.
