The main character is Erin, she is 16 or 17. She is trying to find a way to save her sister, but her parents what to donate her organs. Her feelings are getting in the way.

Erin agreed with her parents to donate Amy's organs.

Erin took a duffle bag to the hospital at 3am. She read a book to Amy and fell asleep.

Erin and Shara went to the 5th floor in the hospital. While standing there, Shara gave Erin a lesson about that she thought she would do if she was in this situation.

A docter came to the ICU and declared Amy as brain dead. Now her parents and her have to all agree on if she should do organ donation.

Erin had to take Amy's place for the show at the children's home because Amy was still in the hospital. She had to dress up as the clown, but ended up meeting a clown named David. Erin didn't know what to do for the show because she has never done a show before but David helped her do the show.

There is suspense when Erin and her parents don't know if Amy will ever wake up from her coma. The doctors asked her parents if they would like to sign a DNR paper.
