Booktok tricked me and so did the author.
I now know the love interest is the FMC's ex-step-brother. I'm ever so grossed out so I don't know if I'm gonna keep reading it. I spent $12 on it so probably but I feel so lied to.
Tiktok and the author said "ex-boyfriend's best friend". If it would have said "ex-step-brother" I would not have purchased the book.
