“So Not a Big Deal” by Haley Sherif is my favorite piece so far. It’s definitely made me cry the hardest so far (I’ve cried at nearly every piece I’ve read). She provides a great reminder that queer-on-queer sexual violence is not talked about often enough. Her story gives me the inspiration to keep talking about my own experience, and gives me hope that it truly does get easier to cope and to live.
