Just finished reading the short story “Life of Chuck.” I saw the film at TIFF last month and, while reading this made me nearly as emotional, I do think I prefer the film. The story starts strong, but I feel like King might have rushed through the last act (or “Act One”). They add more scenes in the movie that flesh out the characters and story a more. Plus, the dance sequence is so wonderful in the film it.
