I woke up today and the world had not ended! However, I realised that the next four years will provide me with a great deal of fodder to explore and review the state of American politics from my Canadian perch.
As books are written and published, I can see myself creating a four-year reading challenge to read and review many authors’ takes on the state of the American republic.

I woke this morning knowing the world as we know has ended. I am afraid we are in for some very dark times.

Great. I suggest you start by Joseph J. Ellis’s books. He is a great historian who is focused on the American Revolution.

Oh my, I think this is the worst time for the US. I'm sure there are gonna be tons of political thriller to enjoy after these.
Le sigh. It will come as no shock to you that there are many Americans who would rather have had a better outcome than the knowledge that many memoirs and behind-the-scenes books will keep you busy for the another four years. I’ll probably spend those same years reading something different— escapist novels! 😔🤓
