The metaphor of the boy with glasses and bad eyesight refers to the people of Jakub’s country. Their mannerism, their corruption or habits- what Jakub calls- murderers- it’s something inherent. They were born with it like the boy was born with bad eyesight. The real high mindedness would be to love the people even thought they are “murderers”

The case of mindless procreation. To decide not to procreate because otherwise it’s accepting mankind with all its faults and deciding to create a duplicate. The reinterpretation of King Herod story- he decided for all that man must not procreate for he is sinful and it has been told to him by god himself as he didn’t want to act directly, not to look ridiculous changing his decisions when he let Noah escape.
