I love how the story went full circle

I'm such a dumbass, somehow I forgot that Penelope isn't just a random nobody. I was surprised when Circe said Penelope's father lives in Sparta and her cousin was the queen of Sparta. I was like "what a random piece of knowledge to know about your lover's wife". And then Circe asked about Helen and I thought "huh, that name sounds familiar." Finally I made the connection *facepalm*

How is it that I still don't find even one character likeable. Whereas I fell completely in love with Patroclus, Achilles and came to love many of the side characters. Everyone in Circe could die and I still wouldn't feel a thing

Hmmm, so far I still prefer The Song of Achilles over Circe, it still makes for a gripping read though

I have just finished reason The song of Achilles, can't wait to start with this one! I love Madeline Miller's writing style, it's so beautiful
